What do Jeremy McGrath, Ryan Villopoto, Mitch Ropelato, Curtis Keene, Johnny O'Mara, Jake Weimer, and Tyla Rattray all have in common? They all ride motocross, and they all ride Specialized. We met up with these past and present motocross, supercross, and mountain bike stars during the weekend of the Anaheim 1 Supercross race: - On Friday we rode bicycles with Jeremy McGrath, Johnny O'Mara, Mitch Ropelato, and Curtis Keene. - On Saturday we made our way to the stadium where Ryan Villopoto kicked off the supercross season with a big win. - Then on Sunday we caught up with Ryan Villopoto, Jake Weimer, Tyla Rattray, and Aldon Baker at Surf City Cyclery. |

La Marmota, ideal para hacerla en otoño con las primeras lluvias. Saliendo y volviendo desde la estación de trenes de Tres Cantos, nos dirigiremos, atravesando el carril bici, hacia la valla del Pardo. A través de caminos, pistas y trialeras llegaremos a Colmenar Viejo, atravesaremos el casco urbano y proseguiremos por entre más trialeras y senderos, hasta llegar de nuevo a Tres Cantos, habiendo pedaleado 40 kilómetros, acumulado unos 740 metros de desnivel, y disfrutado de una ruta clásica, bonita, asequible y muy recomendable. Ruta corta, explosiva, variada y muy... muy divertida. Comenzaremos y terminaremos en el aparcamiento del Pontón de la Oliva, en la Sierra de Ayllón (presa en desuso que data de 1857). Cuenta con una variante circular que sale y llega a Alpedrete, se trata de un sendero muy técnico y divertido que permitirá, cuando lleguemos a este punto, terminar de redondear la ruta para aquellos que sigamos con ganas. Haremos 37 kilómetros (30, si no tomamos la recomendable variante), sumando casi 900 metros de desnivel acumulado y salvando algunas rampas de casi el 20% (¡puntuales!), disfrutando de intensas trialeras, emocionantes senderos singletrack, pasos muy técnicos, cruzaremos el río...
